How to turn a laser pointer into a laser projector
The laser pointer used here is a deal extreme greenie, any pen type pointer may be used. the pointer may be removed and replaced by another colour by undoing the cable gland.
This is a twin motor hand held projector.
First up I mounted the laser through a modified 20mm cable gland to a radio spares plastic case.
I used mobile phone vibrator motors with mirrors cut from 3mm acrylic mirror both sourced from Ebay
The motors were mounted in the box by trial and error until a good spirograph output was obtained
Then cut out a hole in the front face of the box to allow the beam out
An on off switch, a 100 ohm pot for one motor (to vary the speed) and a holder for 2 1.5v AAA batteries (wired in parallel ) were added
The finished item....
