Rog8811, I was inspired to build a white / 7 color pointer after seeing yours. Here is the link to my build.

My background is similar to yours. I work as an engineer for a company that builds laser range finders for the military. I also worked as a laserist doing light shows for 20 yrs. Let me know what you think. | |

Thanks Rog8811, I love this sort of building. I am so glad to see there are others out there with the same mind set. Do you have problems keeping your alignment? I think I finally got mine stable. That is until I bang it into something or it rolls off the work bench.
The next phase is to add a spiro projector to the pointer like yours.

The spiro is the easy part:) As to the optics, using a cutdown sled makes setting up a doodle as all the optics are already set up correctly, I have had no problems at all with things moving on the 7 colour lasers, the yellow pointer is a different matter as I used the same method as you to mount everything I find it needs the occasional tweak to line it up again.
