amazing timing, my cousin just bought a lathe so i may now make a proper aluminum housing/heatsink. for my lack of space to work with, the material surrounding the aixiz can only be an eighth inch thick, and i can extend it back a quarter inch from the back. you defidentaly know your stuff, so do you think it will be big enough to take great enough effect? i will be using thermal compound. | |

also, would a 14500 battery run a blue ray LD through a rkcstr drive? | |

I posted on your other thread to say that you will most likely be OK with a small heat sink.. 2 of those batteries would work fine with the Rkcstr drive, remember to measure your current when setting it up

i often see heatsinks on lpf having the front most part of the aixiz sticking out of the sink. how much of the aixiz should be exposed? and also is the purpose of this for fine tuning the focus? | |
