Has anyone purchased these diodes from Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/808nm-1000mw-1W-burning-IR-laser-diode-USA-3-day-ship_W0QQitemZ270522585625QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3efc671219#ht_1373wt_1165 ? If you have do you know if this diode is case positive? These is no datasheet from the seller or could be found on the internet. They are two pin 9mm diodes. Also can anyone give some help for a driver for this monster? It needs 2V and >1A Thanks ITGUY | |

I can only say that in general IR laser diodes are case positive, I suggest a visit to Laserpointerfoerums where a number of members have used hi watt IR.
Good luck

You would get far better feedback if you ask this question on laserpointerforums, it is a while now since I worked with IR laser diodes.
When you post there put as much info as you can about what you have and what you want to do.
Good luck
